Our practice is led by two highly respected cardiologists, Dr. Peter Moore and Dr. Sam Hayman, who bring extensive experience and a compassionate approach to treating a wide range of heart conditions.

Dr Sam Hayman is an Interventional Cardiologist located primarily in Brisbane, Queensland. He specialises in coronary and structural heart interventions, including angioplasty, stenting, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), and Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge repair (TEER)/MitraClip. Despite his sub-specialty interests, he sees the entire range of general cardiology.
Dr Hayman graduated medicine with Honours at the University of Queensland in 2008. During medical school, he worked as a cardiac scientist at The Prince Charles Hospital. He then undertook his physician training and advanced training in cardiology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Nambour General Hospital, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2015. He went on to complete two years of advanced fellowship in interventional cardiology (coronary and structural interventions) at the London Health Sciences Centre, London, Ontario, Canada. Dr Hayman also holds a Masters of Science in Clinical Physiology.
Dr Hayman a nationally accredited TAVI and Mitraclip. He is a research investigator in first-in-man percutaneous valve trials implanting novel heart valves at The Wesley Hospital. Dr Hayman co-established Mitraclip as a treatment option at The Wesley Hospital and has travelled locally and internationally teaching TAVI and Mitraclip. Dr Hayman and the Wesley structural heart team maintain the Wesley as a TAVI Centre of Excellence.
Dr Hayman is involved in ongoing medical education of medical students, junior doctors and cardiology advanced trainees. He is a lecturer for The University of Queensland. He has published many peer-reviewed journal articles in Australian and international high-impact factor journals. He has ongoing research interests through both the Wesley and Royal Brisbane hospitals.
Dr Hayman currently consults and performs procedures at The Wesley Hospital, as well as a public appointment at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and visits The Prince Charles Hospital to perform TAVI procedures. He regularly visits and consults at Bundaberg Friendlies Hospital and Birtinya, Sunshine Coast.
Dr Hayman lives in Brisbane’s western suburbs with his wife and three daughters.
Dr Peter Moore is a cardiologist with subspecialty training in interventional cardiology, in both coronary and structural heart procedures.
Peter graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School with a University Medal and First Class Honours in 2008. He undertook his Advanced Training in Cardiology at the Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital, Brisbane, and attained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2015. He subsequently undertook two interventional cardiology fellowships: at the PA Hospital, Brisbane in 2016; and the Royal Jubilee Hospital and Victoria Heart Institute Foundation, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada in 2017-18.
Peter consults and performs procedures at The Wesley Hospital, and as a Staff Specialist at the PA Hospital. His interventional practice encompasses coronary stenting, including intracoronary imaging and calcium modification techniques such as rotational atherectomy and intravascular lithotripsy. Peter also performs transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR / TAVI) with both The Wesley Hospital and PA Hospital Heart Teams. He is an Australian accredited TAVI implanter.
Peter has published studies in peer-reviewed journals and presented research findings at national and international conferences. He maintains an active role in teaching, of both medical students at The Wesley Hospital and Cardiology trainees at the PA Hospital.

Rebecca has worked across a number of specialities during her 17 years within the medical industry including cardiology, neuro/spine, breast and endocrine, nephrology and gynaecology.
Rebecca brings her friendly, can-do attitude to the Milton Cardiology team and enjoys working with such a patient focused and driven team.
Georgina is a valued member of the team who comes with a number of years working within the Cardiology speciality.
Georgina’s calm and quiet nature ensures patients are at ease when interacting with the practice and her extensive knowledge means they are kept well informed every step of the way.
Jackie started in medical more than 20 years ago, firstly in a dental laboratory as office manager and after 11 years moved into dental assisting at general dental practices.
Prior to joining the Milton Cardiology team Jackie worked with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, assisting and reception. Jackie loves enjoys the diversity of the medical industry and enjoys assisting the patients.
Our team applies its wide healthcare experience to determining the
strategies that will best enable our patient to recovery.
